Every year during Miss World competition is the so-called family bread dinner, where families of participants gather with them, the judges and other MW staff for one night. Contestants bring special gifts from their home country, which are then auctioned for charity. Hope these photos give you a little glimpse into the night.

One of the annual traditions of Miss World is the Charity Gala Event, where all Miss World contestants bring with them a special gift, be it a personalized painting or a valuable token from their country, and auction it for a good cause.

Just over ¥ 260,000 (over $ 40,000) was raised through the auction, raffle and ticket sales on the night, providing vital funds for those in need.

All proceeds of the Charity Gala will go to benefit the Sanya Orphanage founded by Miss World Chairwoman, Julia Morley, in 2005 that houses and nurtures over 60 orphaned youth. To open the show, the children of the orphanage sang modern renditions of classic Christmas jingles, which had all the contestants and audience dancing and clapping along!

Veel VIPs waren aanwezig, waaronder Chief Mandela, Grandson of Nelson Mandela, en enkele Miss World's waaronder ruling Miss World. Roland Strauss, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss World 2012. Wenxia Yu, Miss World 2001, Agbani Darego, Miss World 2002. Azra Akin Miss World 2008 Ksenia Sukhinova and Miss World 1988 Linda Pétursdóttir.
